Lisa’s diverse experience begins with her time as an anchor woman for the local TV and radio network in Bermuda. Her journalism career included interviewing diverse personalities and a number of well known celebrities including a reception where she was presented to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on a Royal Visit.
After being widowed at age 34, she lived on a hobby farm in St.George, ON where she raised her 2 children along with 24 animals including alpacas, horses, a Shetland pony named Winnie, and miniature donkey named Eeyore .
While raising children and animals Lisa became a certified bereavement counselor through ADEC ( Association of Death Education and Counseling) and offered her services as a grief counselor.
Lisa remarried in 2014 and moved back to Bermuda where she was the Executive Director of a healthcare nonprofit supporting the local hospital. She understands the nonprofit community and the importance of fundraising.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in psychology, in addition to ADEC certification and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the University of Wisconsin.
She is currently enjoying being back on Canadian soil and supporting her family.
