Jo Fallon

Before arriving in Canada from the U.K. in 1996, Jo worked at Harper’s & Queen Magazine and Lloyd’s of London. In 1999, she co-founded The Lighthouse with a clear vision of what it could provide to children and their families. She nurtures the Lighthouse to this day. Having experienced the deaths of both parents during childhood, Jo is passionate about providing a haven where children and teens can rebuild their lives with strength, compassion and vigour. She was trained at The Dougy Center in Portland, Oregon, which inspired the Lighthouse program. She was awarded the YMCA Peace Medallion in 2013 in recognition of her tremendous contributions to our community.
