Lauren McClean

Lauren McLean (She/Her/They) is a researcher, educator, and advocate whose work centers on intersectional social change, community, and digital culture. With a PhD in Literary and Theatre Studies and a background in Gender Studies and Sociology, Lauren brings a critical and compassionate approach to all areas of her work. Lauren comes to Lighthouse to support the organization’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility by contributing expertise in equity-centered research, trauma-aware education, and inclusive community building practices rooted in lived experiences and scholarship. Passionate about this work in all areas of her life, Lauren is also the current co-chair of the gala committee for Halton Women’s Place and remains actively engaged in local advocacy and community initiatives. Beyond her current work, Lauren is likely taking far too many photos of her two cats and two very fluffy dogs.
