Shannon Giannitsopoulou (she/her; fae/faer; per/pers) [EdD (C), MA, OCGC, PMP, BA] is a social justice practitioner, educator, project manager, and critical researcher. She has 15+ years’ experience of managing complex portfolios, building reciprocal relationships, and conducting social justice research with an anti-oppressive framework, including anti-racist, anti-colonial, gender justice, disability justice, and intersectional approaches. She has published the results of her mixed-methods primary research. As the Accessibility, Indigeneity, and Equity Coordinator at the Town of East Gwillimbury, Shannon oversees the development and implementation of strategic EDI initiatives for staff and residents. Shannon is also the founder and lead executive of Anti-Oppressive Resources, a unique consultancy that provides organizations with education, policy development, tool creation, research services, and more.
